This article. Oh, my heart. While cheering for our oldest son in his first BCS basketball game, friend & first responder Katrina Beyer approached me about gathering up first responders who were at the accident scene to visit Tim at Rehab. They visited us on a Thursday night. Before they left, I snapped a pic and forwarded it to Jim Hayden at the Sentinel, who wrote a follow-up article to the previous one. Mike & Bryan were 2 of several first responders to help Tim. Mike was the one Tim prayed to find. Mike spotted Tim, called 911, stabalized Tim immediately, and protected him throughout. Bryan rode in the back of the ambulance with Tim. When they first walked into Tim's room at Spectrum's Rehab, Tim pointed at Mike and said, "You're the one." If you ask any one of the first responders about their stories, they will simply tell you, "We were just doing our job." While at Mary Free Bed, we also met Mike's wife, Jackie, who works as a nurse at Mary Free Bed. We give thanks to God for all those who helped Tim. We are honored to have met them under much better circumstances than the first meeting. We give thanks to God that Tim was able to thank them.
