This article is written by Jim Hayden, Holland Sentinel. Jim contacted me via phone while we were at Mary Free Bed. I stepped into the patient laundry room to speak with him briefly on the phone while Tim was loaded in the ambucab to be transported to an off-site doctor's appt. We met Jim in person later at Holland Hospital, 4 North, on a Sunday, one week before this article was published. Present during the interview were Tim's brother, Brent, Brent & Nikki's twins, Ryan & Carter, Tim & me. It was hot in the room to ensure healthy blood flow to and from the muscle flap.
